Short movies you should watch over YouTube

 

Have you seen those movies produced by big brands and uploaded over YouTube? Not many of them come into the limelight, but you ought to watch some of these. These are not inspiring or motivational or anything. These are movies that I personally like, some because of the message, some because of their content, but above all – all because of their storytelling. Watch out for the following, it won’t take much of your time.

1) Devi – It starts with looking at a general household, but later changes and you realise it a house which caters to women who have survived some or the other form of sexual assault or have been raped. There is a knock at their door with another lady waiting to be taken in and the conversation they have amongst themselves is worth listening to.

2) Little Terrorist – It is India’s only short film nominated for Oscars. It is about the story of a boy whose cricket ball is between India and Pakistan. He picks up the ball and he is fired upon. He, in haste, runs towards the wrong side. The film is about a short yet beautiful journey he has in India before going back.

3) Chutney: Starts with showing a party scene, of a couple and another woman. The wife finds the husband flirting with that woman. She goes up to her and asks her to come to her house, which the women had asked for. At her wife’s house, she talks of the story of her old house help. The story has one amazing ending.

4) Juice – It is a movie that depicts the scene of the majority of the middle-class household where there is a gathering of friends. It shows how the men enjoy the privileges and women are put to work, while both of them gossip. But a twist takes place and that is the beauty of the movie
