Give your 100 %
How do you
calculate the effort a person has put into his work? You see how much did it
achieve the objective and impress the one he reported to. You know, over time
as we grew up, we have been told to achieve the highest score possible in our
academics. We have been told to get the highest spot in the competitions we
participate in. It is good, to want to achieve the highest, but isn’t always
possible.
The idea
should always be to give your best. Do whatever you are capable of doing. Give
your best shot at it. If it doesn’t happen, then it isn’t your fault or it
isn’t for you. Don’t be disheartened or stuck with the idea that you couldn’t
do it. You are meant for something else.
Recently we
had an assignment where we presented a crisis communication plan as a group and
the instructor was not quite happy with it. We were disappointed but our Dean
said not to be. He said he wanted us to do our best. But we know how it felt,
not being able to deliver after spending a week and more than 12 hours on it,
apart from individual research.
We left it,
for you can’t do more than what you know. So there is no point thinking about
it as it might affect other work at hand. Give your best shot. Give your 100%.
And be happy about it.
