Experimental Writing: E-Courts in India
100 Words
The Indian
Judiciary had started the process of E-Courts in India since 2005. It has been
completely utilised and depended on in this pandemic. It uses the Information
and Communication Technology to make the system accessible, transparent,
affordable, cost effective and accountable. Starting with filing the cases in
E-desk, litigating it through video conferencing, and getting the case list as
soon as it is published, to getting the judgment and the order of copy online
and to revisit old cases, this has been a boon to lawyers and parties of the
case. Nobody would face problems once it reaches the grass root level of the
country.
